The wonderful world of Stiltskin: Stiltskin Theatre & Arts CIC is a not for profit arts company run by Jacqueline and Iain Slade.
Stiltskin has been creating theatre and art projects since 1999. They are a national company and now run Stiltskin’s Soapbox Children’s Theatre based in Devonport Park.
Stiltskin are storytellers! They write and produce new work and develop pieces of theatre from well-known stories and local tales. Stiltskin’s Soapbox Children’s Theatre is one of a handful of specialists producing theatres in Britain, where cultural projects are created for children, young people and their families, and Stiltskin is one of the leading companies within the South West Peninsula to create theatre for children under 5.
At the theatre many other exciting events happen including after school clubs and holiday workshops in drama, art and circus skills, The Spellbound Fairy and Goblin arts festival, Bubblicious Family Rave, Story Stomps for toddlers using the park as a backdrop for inspiration, Twilight Tales storytelling evenings and much more.
In the Foyer, they house Plymouth’s only independent toyshop, which is open during the week and the foyer cafe with their famous gingerbread men, chocolate brownies and tea and coffee.
Stiltskin also runs The Watershed at the theatre; evening gigs for adults to kick back and enjoy comedy nights, gin festivals, cabaret, adult theatre and so much more.
The theatre is available for hire for events, birthday parties, and community activities.
