The Union Street Party started in 2010 because local people wanted to celebrate their local community and bring people together. Rain or shine the Street Party has become an important date in the diary for Stonehouse. The road is closed from the Octagon to Aldi, it’s decorated with handmade bunting and decoration, includes two stages of music, stalls, activities and anything that celebrates local talent. Thousands of people turn out every year for this unique and special event.

Plymouth is full of stunning history, forward looking people and businesses and fantastic places, we would like to highlight it to our community and visitors. Sometimes those upbeat people, things, places, events, inventions, and achievements go unnoticed or do not get the acknowledgement they deserve. We want to change that, because, it’s the right thing to do.
We will 3D print the Plaques and work with people across the city to nominate, approve and locate the plaques. At the same time we will create a website with an interactive map to allow you to see all the amazing things around the city.
If you want to propose a blue plaque get in touch!
